Helping Women Through PMS and PMDD Symptoms
For many women, the days leading up to their period aren’t just uncomfortable – they’re completely disruptive. PMS and PMDD can feel like a tidal wave of symptoms that hijack your body, your emotions, and your ability to function. Yet, so often, these experiences are dismissed as “just part of being a woman.”
I see it differently.
Supporting women through PMS and PMDD is one of the most rewarding parts of my practice. These symptoms aren’t just inconvenient – they’re messages from the body asking for support, balance, and care. And when we listen, and respond with homeopathic remedies, the transformation can be profound.
What I’ve Helped Resolve
Over the past few months, I’ve worked with women experiencing a wide range of symptoms both physical and emotional. Here are a few of the issues that have eased or resolved through homeopathic treatment:
Headaches, for some of the women I’ve treated they were lasting for days, impacting work and life.
Exhaustion that feels like the body is made of lead – no energy, no motivation.
Anxiety and overthinking, often spiralling into worry over the smallest things.
Irritability, especially with children, leading to guilt and emotional strain.
Brain fog that makes it hard to focus, remember words and activities, or feel sharp. I often see this cause embarrassment for women if it happens in the workplace.
Heavy, clotted bleeding, sometimes leading to anaemia and low iron.
Hot flushes, even outside of perimenopause.
Tearfulness over everything, with a deep sense of “feeling sorry for herself” that’s hard to shake.
Why It Matters
These symptoms aren’t just hormonal – they’re personal. They affect relationships, work, confidence, and quality of life. When women begin to feel like themselves again – clear-headed, calm, energised – it is life changing.
Homeopathy offers a gentle, individualised approach that works with the body to restore balance. I love this work because I get to witness women reclaim their vitality, their clarity, and their sense of self. Helping women see that they don’t have to push through or “just deal with it” is deeply rewarding.
My initial consultation is up to an hour and a half, and many women find that being heard, and focussing on themselves for that time is the beginning of their healing journey. Once they begin to take the homeopathic remedies I prescribe, the sense of becoming balanced begins.
